On the second day of the trip, we meet at 7 a.m. on the stern terrace of our ship and start inflating our SUP boards. Without a specific destination in mind, we explore the area and enjoy the unique nature. To protect ourselves from the strong sunlight, we apply sunscreen thoroughly. Our first stop is the sandy beach, where we cool off in the Rio Negro. Next, we will visit Vila Acajatuba, where we will receive a warm welcome. We spend some time in the village square and visit the small church before we fortify ourselves in a local restaurant with fish and caipirinha. We buy handmade souvenirs and provisions and set off to fish. After we have bought suitable hooks, we take the boat to a small branch of the Rio Negro to fish at night. The atmosphere is a bit eerie because you have the feeling of being watched all the time, but we relax and enjoy the silence. Most of us are here for the first time and wonder what we are doing here, but we are all having a great time and are ready for the next adventure.
