Eighth day – We were still lying in bed at 8 o’clock and laughing about last night. The planned overnight stay in the jungle had soaked us, but our plan B ensured that we could sleep dry. After breakfast we returned to the camp and cleaned everything up. We paddled back and then took a boat to Novo Airao. There we refueled and drank cold beer. Jean brought his son and introduced him to us. After a dinner together, we all went to bed, a bit wistful that it was our last night on board. However, we were looking forward to seeing our families and friends again soon and sharing our impressions and stories of the Amazon adventure.
